We now wish to recruit an Equipment Expeditor (Capital Projects) based with our Client in North Dublin.

Working as part of project teams and reporting to the Project Procurement Manager, the Expeditor will be responsible for the expediting of high value capital equipment on fastrack projects. Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-award meeting
  • Primary contact with Vendor after award and establish contact names
  • Verify Vendor sub-orders schedule
  • Verify Production/Manufacturing Programmes
  • Attendance at weekly progress meetings with Supplier and relevant package engineer. 
  • Obtain copies of major sub-orders
  • Expedite Preliminary Packing List and Vendors Documentation
  • Ensure Progress Reporting is being submitted timely
  • Liaison with Engineering
  • Organising expediting visits to Suppliers as necessary 
  • Calls and Emails to the Supplier ensuring deliveries will be on time

The position may also involve filed expediting which will include visit the Suppliers works to review and confirm:

  • Drawing Schedule
  • Submission/approval dates for main drawings/data
  • Status relative to any outstanding technical points and action required to be resolved
  • Status of Vendor’s sub-orders
  • Required deliveries of major sub-ordered materials
  • Check required quantities of material delivered
  • Production and delivery schedule confirmed Welding and fabrication procedure
  • Verify quality checks
  • Assessment of progress and completion of Vendor Data Books
  • After the visit, the Field Expeditor will recommend, based on his / her assessment, any further visits considered necessary
  • The Expeditor will also assist in resolving overage, shortage and damage claims


  • 5+ years of related experience in and a proven track record of expediting of capital equipment
  • Experienced in the expediting of process, mechanical and electrical equipment in the Pharma sector would be an advantage
  • High level of IT skills (word, excel, etc.) is essential
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prepare and maintain complex records and files in an automated system
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with relevant parties
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple requests from across several areas
  • Strong sense of customer focus and teamwork
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative under minimal supervision
