PM Group Ranked 89th in ENR Top 200 International Design Firms Listing

Demand for World Class Design Remains

According to ENR (Engineering News Record), despite a sluggish US construction market and the economic uncertainties affecting Europe, demand for world class design remains strong.  The shift in markets to Asia, Australia, Africa and Latin America is reflected in ENR’s Top 200 International Design Firms list 2010 where PM Group is ranked 89th.

The listings contain the ranking by 2010 revenue of the Top 200 international engineers, architects and consultants and are based on design revenue from projects outside the ‘home country’.

“PM Group saw the shift to these markets happening as early as 2007 when our multi-national client base began to move eastwards.  Since then and despite the recession, the pace of growth has increased along with the demand for world class design and project management services.  Capability and presence on the ground is also important.  From our offices in Singapore, India, China and the Middle East, our multi-disciplinary teams are currently designing multi-million dollar, state of the art biopharmaceuticals, food and nutritional and advanced technology facilities for multi-national and local firms” said Dave Murphy, CEO, PM Group.

The downturn notwithstanding, the home market in the US continues to be important to PM Group’s future strategy.  In 2010, the firm acquired Greene Engineers – now PM Greene Engineers – specialists in the cleantech and greentech sectors based in Silicon Valley, at the heart of the world’s technology centre.
“Many of our multi-national clients in Ireland and Europe are headquartered in Silicon Valley.  Their requirements are for high end conceptual and detailed design services and the specialist project management skills to deliver these complex projects.  We can now provide enhanced services directly to them from this important hub”, said Dave Murphy.
