We were delighted to support the RIAI Simon Open Door fundraising initiative at our Dublin office recently.

Creativity and enthusiasm

PM Group architects, Niall Brunswick, Shauna Sweeney, Niamh Peare, Peter Carroll, Paul O’Callaghan and Kieran McGrath provided 16 consultations and advised on everything from extensions and remodeling works to one-off houses.

According to Una Lawlor from Sandyford, who dropped in for a consultation, “I really enjoyed taking part in the Simon Open Door 2019 with PM Group. I saw it advertised on TV and initially wasn’t sure about signing up, but I found the whole experience very enjoyable. Meeting Shauna in her office was a whole new experience for me and her time, enthusiasm and creativity was very refreshing. The Simon Open Door is a fantastic idea for a very worthwhile charity and I was delighted to play a small part in it."

Spending time with the local community

Niall Brunswick, PM Group Architect said “I found the whole experience to be very satisfying and engaging. It was great to spend time with people in our local community advising them develop the next stages of what can typically be a very stressful experience. Hopefully we managed to alleviate some of their concerns and set them on the right path for their future projects. The team here really enjoyed the Simon Open Door experience and are eager to continue this again next year.

Almost €145,000 was raised for the Simon Communities of Ireland this year. 1,481 hours were donated by architects all over the country, equalling 62 days of non-stop consultations!
