Embracing new technology and harnessing the power and capability of robots as integrated autonomous systems were some of the themes Kevin Owen, PM Group SME, explored at the 2019 ISPE Aseptic Conference in Washington.

During the presentation Kevin also highlighted the fantastic work being done by the BioPhorum’s Robotics Group, led by our BioPharma Technology Consultant Dave Wolton.

“Dave and our Technology Team have been at the forefront of the development of cutting edge solutions that help clients deliver life critical medicines in a rapidly changing world.  We are leveraging the expertise and experience of our TechTeam and international footprint to help drive innovative thinking in this field.  It’s a privilege for us to work with the other experts on the BioPhorum Group.” said Kevin Owen.

The ISPE 2019 ISPE Aseptic Conference is the must-attend event of the year for pharma professionals who focus on aseptic processing. It brings together industry, regulatory and academic leaders to share their expert insights through case studies and interactive discussions. “There was a tremendous amount of dialogue on how to remove the human factor from aseptic processing at this year’s conference. This was certainly a key take home message and fully aligns with the rebranding on Annex 1”, added Kevin.

Annex 1’Manufacture of Sterile Medicinal Products’, is a GMP document published by the European Commission.
