Direction and Vision

Our leadership team sets the direction and vision for our employee-owned organisation. We are led by a board of directors, supported by an executive committee. Each brings specialist expertise and commitment to the management of our company.

Board of Directors

PM Group’s Board is made up of executive and independent non-executive directors who are responsible for the strategic leadership and direction of the company.

Between them, the directors bring the range of skills, knowledge and international experience necessary to lead the company. All of PM Group's directors bring independent judgment to bear on issues of strategy, performance, resources, key appointments and standards. The Board has a clear governance framework with defined responsibilities and accountabilities.

Dan Flinter

Dan is also Chairman of The Irish Times, and of VCIM Venture Capital and a Non-Executive Director of Aryzta AG and Dairygold Co-Op. A former CEO of Enterprise Ireland and former Executive Director of the IDA, Dan holds an MA in Economics from UCD and is an Eisenhower Fellow. Dan joined the PM Group Board in 2004 and was appointed Chairman in 2012.

Dave Murphy

Dave joined PM Group in 1989 and has worked in all areas of the business. His experience of engineering and construction was gained leading significant projects for a number of multinational companies. Dave joined the Board of PM Group in 2006, became Managing Director of Western Europe in 2008 and was appointed Group CEO in 2011. An Alumnus of CIT, Dave is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and also holds an MSc in Executive Leadership.

Larry Westman

Larry is a Chartered Accountant with a business degree from Trinity College, Dublin. After a number of years in professional services, Larry moved to industry in 1983 and has held senior financial positions in a range of businesses including US multinationals, FMCG sales and distribution, and listed Plcs. He joined PM Group in 2001. In addition to finance, he has overall responsibility for legal and acquisitions.

Fred Barry

Fred is currently Chairman of the National Transport Authority of Ireland and a Director of Ervia. He was also recently appointed as Chairman of the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board.  He is a former Chief Executive of the National Roads Authority, and a former Group Managing Director of Jacobs for the UK and Ireland . He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Ireland, a Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineering, and is qualified as a Barrister. Fred was appointed to the Board in 2015.

Liam Foley

Liam is Director of Strategy and Development at PM Group.  A Chemical Engineer, Liam’s expertise in the design, construction management, commissioning and qualification of pharmaceutical and biologics facilities was developed over 30  years working with world leading Life Sciences companies in the USA, Europe and Asia. With PM Group since 1989, he has worked in engineering, project management, operations and business development.  Liam joined the PM Group Board in 2013.


Bríd Horan

Bríd is the former Deputy Chief Executive of the ESB.  Bríd has significant strategic and governance experience. She is a qualified Actuary, a Chartered Director and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Bríd is Chair of the PM Group Pension Schemes (Ireland); Chair of Nephin Energy Ltd., Co-Chair of Balance for Better Business and Chair of the Trustee Board of the Bank of Ireland Staff Pension Fund. Bríd joined the PM Group Board in 2019.

Brendan Jennings

Brendan is the former Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Ireland. He has over 30 years’ national and international experience supporting the growth and development of Deloitte Ireland and advising international clients. Brendan is a qualified chartered accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce from NUI Galway. He has completed strategic and executive leadership programmes at the International Institute of Management (IMD), Switzerland. Brendan is currently on the Boards of Paralympics Ireland and the National University of Ireland Galway Foundation. Brendan joined the PM Group Board in January 2020.

Helen Keelan

Helen has 25 years of senior finance and strategic leadership experience gained in KPMG, Ericsson and Intel. She is familiar with the challenges of both re-structuring and scaling companies globally. She is an experienced Non-Executive Director and is Chair of the Board of Barclays Bank Ireland plc and a Non-Executive Director of Barclays Bank plc. Helen was appointed to the PM Group Board in 2013.

Mick Lynam

Mick is Director of Project Delivery at PM Group.  Mick has thirty plus years of leadership experience on major projects in the pharmaceuticals, advanced technology, oil & gas, energy and healthcare sectors. His focus is innovation in the management and governance of complex projects across our international project network. Mick joined the PM Group Board in 2008.

John C O'Connell

John is the Director responsible for PM Group’s UK and CEE operations. A Civil Engineer, he has over 35 years’ experience in the design and construction of major projects in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and energy sectors in Ireland, the UK and Australia.  John has been with PM Group since 1998 and has worked in a variety of roles including design, project management and operations management.  John joined the PM Group Board in 2013.

Anthony O'Rourke

Anthony is the Director responsible for PM Group’s Ireland and Western Europe operations. With the company since 1994, he has worked on pharmaceutical and oil & gas projects in Ireland, Europe and the USA.  His experience spans design, construction, commissioning and qualification. His senior roles have included engineering management, operations and key account management.  Anthony is a Chemical Engineer with a MSC  in Executive Leadership. He joined the PM Group Board in 2018.

Andy Rayner

Andy is the Group’s Executive Director for pharma and Chief Technology Officer.  He has been with PM Group since 1989 and has over 30 years’ experience working with leading global pharma companies on projects all over the world. He is a leading international expert in the design of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. He is a Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of IChemE and also holds a Masters Degree in Executive Leadership. Andy joined the PM Group Board in 2018.


Helen Ryan

Helen is the former Chief Executive Officer of Creganna Medical. She has over 25 years’ experience in the Medical Device industry with previous roles in product development/research at Medtronic and Tyco Healthcare (Covidien). Helen is an adviser with Enterprise Ireland. She has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from NUI Galway, a Masters in Project Management from UL, an honorary Doctorate from NUIG, and a Life Fellowship from the Irish Management Institute. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland. Helen joined the PM Group Board in January 2020.

Allan Schouten

Allan is responsible for PM Group’s international business units across the USA and Asia. A Chartered Chemical Engineer, Allan has over 30 years international business experience. He joined PM Group in 1998 and has had a variety of roles from delivering large scale complex pharmaceutical and food projects for multinational clients across the world to developing and leading our business units in the UK, Europe, Asia and most recently USA. He joined the PM Group Board in 2012.

Rosita Fennell

Having graduated with a Commerce degree from UCC, Rosita went on to train in industry and qualify as a Chartered Management Accountant. She held a number of senior finance roles in multinational companies before joining PM Group in 2006. Rosita is Regional Finance Manager for Ireland and UK, holds an MSc in Executive Leadership and was appointed Company Secretary in 2019.
