Our vision to build a more sustainable world with our clients begins by reducing our own environmental impacts. We are delighted to announce we have achieved CarbonNeutral® company certification.

We have measured our carbon footprint since 2009 and have implemented, environmental management systems across our office network. In 2021, we committed to becoming carbon neutral and we have now achieved that goal. Our certification is in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol, the leading global framework for carbon neutrality.

In 2021, our operational emissions were 2,600 tonnes CO2e. This includes all scope 1 and 2 emissions and the scope 3 emissions recommended in The CarbonNeutral Protocol. Our 2021 emissions were a substantial reduction on our 2019 and 2020 levels, largely due to a significant reduction in business travel.

In partnership with Natural Capital Partners, we will offset our 2021 emissions by supporting two verified, community and nature projects:

Offsetting is only a partial solution and we are working hard to continue to reduce our carbon footprint. From 2022, we will set significant GHG emission reduction targets. We will continue to keep business travel to a minimum, invest in our existing office network and select sustainable new office facilities as we expand our business.

Ultimately, our goal is to be become a Net Zero company. To do that everyone must play a part. Sustainable transport choices, waste reduction and greener purchasing decisions – we can all contribute.

We know our greatest contribution to climate change mitigation will be through our sustainable building designs and project delivery. We will continue to develop this expertise and support, challenge and collaborate with our clients to help them to achieve their carbon minimisation ambitions.
