Congratulations to Kevin O’Donovan who won the 2018 PM Group Process Design Project Award and Bursary at Cork Institute of Technology.

Kevin is a graduate of CIT’s Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Engineering degree programme. He won the award for the best individual contribution as part of his final year design project. For the project Kevin worked within a group to design a manufacturing facility for Infliximab, a treatment for autoimmune conditions. Kevin's individual task was to model a Chromatography skid. He is now working as a Process Engineer with Pfizer.

Tara Murphy, Senior Engineer, PM Group, was the mentor for Kevin’s Group. “It’s great to be able to bring our expertise and the latest best practice advice to students during their education", said Tara, who manages the mentoring programme in PM Group's Cork office "The students benefit from being introduced to real challenges. It also benefits us as a company if future graduate engineers gain experience of practical project-based situations in their training”.
