Congratulations to Logan Kelly from CIT (Cork Institute of Technology) who has won the 2019 PM Group Process Design Project Award and Bursary.

Logan is a graduate of CIT’s Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Engineering B. Eng. degree programme. He won the award for the best individual design memo as part of his final year design project.

For the project Logan worked within a group that proposed a design for the production of Crystalline Quinapril Hydrochloride. His individual task was to model the reactor with associated heat transfer and overpressure protection.

Pat McLoughlin, Senior Process Engineer at PM Group, presented the award. "We are proud of our close relationship with CIT’s Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Engineering degree programme. Mentoring students in their final year design projects and the annual engineering design award is part of our support programme. Congratulations to Logan who is a very worthy recipient of the award. It's a significant achievement in recognition his individual effort," said Pat
