The UN Industrial Accidents Convention recently adopted a new guidance on firewater retention referencing PM Group published guidance in this area.

The objective of the UN’s new guidance ‘Safety Guidelines and Good Practices for The Management and Retention of Fire fighting Water’, is to enhance existing practices with regard to firefighting water retention and to promote harmonized safety standards in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) region.
