The Challenge

The key challenges of this project included the requirement to develop the project from inception right through to beneficial operation within a year. This was successfully achieved with the first commercial tanker fill just 12 months after project commencement. The project was for the construction of a new facility within an existing operating environment involving flammable materials and with multiple vehicle movements taking place adjacent to project boundaries.

Successful outcome

The project was delivered on time and to budget in line with the PSLG’s post Buncefield recommendations. The completion of this project allowed the client to enhance the service provision by establishing a North East based fuel storage and distribution facility. The delivery of a working and compliant fuel processing facility within a very short timescale was vital to supporting the clients business growth.
