Our UK team recently competed in Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s annual Dragon Boat race, helping to raise over £265,000 in vital funds.

This is the third time our team has participated, supporting our Birmingham office’s charity of the year. This particular event helped raise funds for the charity's new £1.5m iMRI Appeal. It will bring state-of-the-art intraoperative MRI technology to the Children’s Hospital for the first time to transform brain tumour and epilepsy surgery.

The event brings local companies together in friendly competition and is a great team building experience. Each year we get new rowers joining our team to support this great cause.

Said team captain Matt Cole; "When you’re on the start line, it all goes quiet and the tension builds; before the paddles go in the water, you can tell that everybody is determined to claim the winner's prize. However, when you hit the finish line, you can feel the passion invested in supporting this great cause, which really is the main prize here.”

At this year’s race, our team not only recorded its fastest time to date, they beat their previous fundraising total too. This contributed towards the charity smashing its own overall totals, making it a very successful event once again.

We're proud to have played a part again this year and it's great to see the PM Group culture thriving both inside and outside the office in doing so”, added Matt.
