A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Process Engineer on a client site

We now wish to recruit a Mechanical Process Engineer to work on projects in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design of process and utilities – preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing calculations
  • Co-ordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers
  • Ownership of equipment modules and packages through design and procurement phases
  • Completion of Design Risk Assessments
  • Participation in Technical and Safety reviews
  • Interfacing with client design team/end users
  • Process optimization/site support
  • Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule
  • Co-ordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in a relevant discipline
  • 8+ years design experience in the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sectors
  • Self-starter, experience in leading a design team and in coordinating the efforts of others
  • Specialist experience in a key technical area e.g. clean utilities, OSD, packaging
  • Good communication skills (ability to lead Technical and Safety reviews)
  • Chartered status desirable
