New cell therapy facility

State-of-the-art GMP facility

CellVec has developed a new state-of-the art cell therapy facility in Singapore to extend its manufacturing capabilities for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). The high spec GMP cell therapy lab is a first for the region. It will provide custom viral vectors for preclinical and clinical applications. 

The project involved fitting out an existing office building as a BSL-2 lab with four cleanrooms. It incorporates Grade B and C process suites and associated utilities. The facility is designed to support multi-batch vector manufacturing.

Multi-discipline collaborative approach

PM Group’s scope included multi-discipline design, procurement and managing the permitting, construction and CQV. We also assisted the client to develop their Pharmaceutical Quality Management System and we are currently supporting performance qualification.

Understanding our client’s needs was key to the success of this project. The close collaboration between the client, the designers, the site and contractor team allowed the project to meet its ambitious schedule.  From detailed design to handover, the project was completed in seven months with no lost time incidents and to a very high standard.

The new facility will help expand the science of cell and gene therapy and add to Singapore’s growing reputation as a strategic hub for advanced medical therapies in the Asean region.
