To mark International Women in Engineering Day, PM Group is celebrating the amazing work that women across our engineering and technical disciplines deliver every day. They are an integral part of our success and our future growth.

PM Group understands the importance of gender diversity especially in the sectors we serve. We are working hard to address the gaps and challenges that are prevalent within the industry. We have implemented a range of initiatives including the launch of our own Women’s Network as we continue to address the gender gap.

We are delighted that as part of International Women in Engineering Day, our Women’s Network are hosting various career progression events. Events are aimed at building confidence and providing advice on career advancement. Guest speakers from Europe, the USA and Asia regions will provide their unique insights on their career journeys and advice for attendees.

 


Our guest speakers:

Mairead McGuinness joined the Commission in October 2020, previously she was First Vice-President of the European Parliament  from 2017.  Ms McGuinness served as an MEP from Ireland for 16 years and was a Vice-President of the Parliament since 2014.

During her time in the Parliament, Ms McGuinness sat on a range of committees, covering agriculture, environment, public health, budgets, petitions and constitutional affairs.  Her legislative work included leading for the EPP Group on the European Climate Law, the revision of medical devices legislation, and CAP reform post-2013. Prior to becoming an MEP, Ms McGuinness was an award-winning journalist, broadcaster and commentator.

 

Neelima Bhaduri has held various positions at multi-national corporations, working in locations in both India and Norway. In the last 18 years of her career, Neelima has had diverse exposure to Portfolio Management, Contract Management, Engineering Coordination, Cost Control, Procurement, Resource Planning, HSSE and Team Management.

She is a PMP Certified professional and is currently pursuing a Masters in Industrial and Organisation Psychology. In addition, Neelima has a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management.

 

Dr. Sue Behrens is a Program Director for the Masters of Engineering in Biopharmaceutical Processing.  As President, SB Executive Consulting, LLC, Dr Behrens provides support for development and manufacturing of biologic and vaccine products.  She also serves on the Technical Advisory Board for National Resilience, Inc. and as an active member of NIIMBL, including a term on the Governing Committee.

Prior to KGI, Dr. Behrens was Senior Director for Process Engineering at Integrated Project Solutions (IPS), providing support for process and critical utility equipment design and specification.  At Merck for over 20 years, she had increasing responsibility for global technical support and clinical product manufacture for sterile product, biologic, vaccine and chemical API production.
